High Vibe Music Retreat is a four day music education immersion preluding High Vibe Fest at Mandala Springs in Cobb, California. Through workshops and masterclasses covering music production, DJing, music business and marketing, our goal is to cultivate a space for your musicality to flourish.

You will meet collaborators who just might become lifelong friends, receive personalized support from our team, and will get feedback on tracks you’re working on. 

We are designing this retreat to have a lot of spaciousness so you will have plenty of time to apply what you’re learning. Rather than packing the days full of classes, we will give ample time for creating, experimenting, exploring, and making music. We will have jam sessions, create songs together, and encourage collaborative songwriting sessions. 

This retreat has 40 spots available, and we foresee it filling up very fast. 

FAQ’s

Where is Cobb, California?

In Northern California near Harbin Hotsprings. It’s 2 hours from Sacramento, 2.5 hours from Nevada City, and a little under 2 hours from the bay area. The closest airports are Santa Rosa, Oakland, San Francisco, and Sacramento.

What are the accommodation options? 

While Mandala Springs has many cabins available for rent, you will only be able to rent a cabin for the retreat if you are also renting it throughout the duration of the festival. This is due to the turnaround time it would take to reset the cabin in between the retreat and the festival. Cabins have two beds so you can either book with a friend or we will pair cabin renters together.

What are the food options?
We have an amazing chef who will be cooking all organic vegan food for High Vibe Fest and the music retreat on site. Food is included in a ticket :)

What kind of music production experience do I need to join?

All levels are welcome to this retreat, from complete beginner, to professional.
 For complete beginners, we are offering pre-coaching online via zoom to prepare you for the retreat, however, we recommend some production experience before joining. We will send you links to videos and manuals to help you prepare. 

What kind of gear will I need to bring?

All you really need is your computer and your preferred music making software (known as a DAW, or Digital Audio Workstation). Bring any equipment that you like to make music with or want to learn music production / DJing with. Bring any musical instruments that you play. And bring your voice, the most portable instrument that’s always with you.

 As a music education program, we offer special discounts to the Ableton Live software (the main DAW that we will be learning and working in), and TRAKTOR DJ controllers. We also have discounts to some plugins, and will provide links and folders packed with lots of free content. 

Can I just join for a day?

We value the coherence created from full participation in our immersions. The magic cultivated by everyone together from start to finish is unparalleled, so we ask that everyone commits to the full journey. We can make some exceptions if absolutely necessary, but we highly recommend joining for the full time, and we will not be able to modify the price based on reduced attendance. 

What’s your refund policy?
 Though we don’t do refunds, we will allow you to sell your ticket if something comes up and you can no longer attend. 

Will the classes be recorded?
 We will do our best to record the classes, but we cannot guarantee a delivery date as editing the content can be very time consuming.

Will this be the most magical, transformational, and epic retreat of my life?
